I saw Ruth today also, the sun was out so we went outside and watched the birds and squirrels, read a little bit and visited with some people there. we have met Rose and Jewel who sit at Mom' s table for meals and we have met Marian who has lived at the Falls facility for 3 years and is content and quite social. Mom was a bit tired, but it was threeish which is her usual nap time, other than that, she looked good and we enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. Jewell Bedlove, who is a blind, african american woman is a published author and has written the book (Coffee, Cream and Sugar) here is a like. I purchased the book, I will let you know how I like it.
It looks like pastor Lanham had been there too and mom said yes when I asked if he visited. Heather mentioned taking mom to church with her and Tim on Sunday and mom is very keen on that idea.
